Discover Earth's Greatest Wildlife Adventures with Natural Habitat Adventures

From African savannas to Arctic waters, explore the planet's most extraordinary destinations through the eyes of the world's leading conservation-focused travel company.

Beyond the Beaten Path

The world's most breathtaking wildlife experiences aren't found in crowded tour buses or cookie-cutter itineraries. They're discovered in remote corners of the globe—places where nature thrives in its purest form, where expert guides unlock intimate encounters with incredible creatures, and where every journey becomes an act of conservation. Natural Habitat Adventures has spent nearly four decades pioneering exclusive expeditions to Earth's wildest places, partnering with World Wildlife Fund to create transformative adventures that inspire travelers and protect our planet.

These five destinations showcase why Nat Hab is the world's premier nature and wildlife adventure company. Below, discover what makes each location unforgettable—whether it's the mega-wildlife of Botswana, the unexpected intelligence of Arctic belugas, the transformative power of nature in Scotland, the raw grandeur of Patagonia, or the geothermal wonders of Yellowstone.

BOTSWANA

If you ask the world’s top nature and wildlife adventure company, Natural Habitat Adventures, what – and where – the best African Safari is, they would likely respond that it is Botswana. In fact their flagship African Safari is a truly exclusive adventure into the heart of wildest Africa.

What – Mega Wildlife
Arguably Africa’s most quintessential wildlife symbol is the African elephant. As with many other of the world’s incredible creatures, the elephant unfortunately is also one its most threatened. This cute little guy was photographed in the Okavango Delta region of Botswana.

Antelope, giraffe, buffalo and zebra also thrive in the wetlands of the Okavango Delta and at watering holes that sustain life on the dry plains. Lions laze beneath mopane trees while leopards sprawl in branches above, icons of genuine wilderness that is vanishing all too quickly in the contemporary world.

NORTHERN CANADA

How Can I See Beluga Whales in Canada? The best way to be buddies with a beluga is on a specialized summer tour in Churchill, Canada. With expert wildlife and naturalist guides by your side, your beluga tour will take you up close to these curious cetaceans by way of motorized raft or kayak, without disturbing them. In small groups of no more than seven travelers, you can expect an intimate experience on the water, viewing whales in their natural habitat.

SCOTLAND

Did you know? Decades of research have proven that nature is good for us, whether we’re children or in our senior years. From attention deficit disorder to anxiety, and from high blood pressure to depression—and even from boosting creativity to enhancing cognitive abilities—the medical community knows that many ailments and diseases can be treated by being in outdoor, natural spaces.

But in early October 2018, National Health Service (NHS) Shetland, the health authority in these Scottish islands, officially added “nature prescriptions” to their roll of treatment options for a range of afflictions. Doctors working in the 10 general practice offices (known as surgeries in Scotland) in the archipelago are now authorized by the health service to issue such prescriptions to patients to help manage diabetes, mental illness, heart disease, stress and other conditions.

PATAGONIA

Peerless Patagonia is striking in grandeur, yet humble in character. As Andean spires rise to the sky, glaciers wind their way down to turquoise lakes dotted with floating icebergs. Condors, guanacos and elusive pumas live unhindered in Torres del Paine National Park. A place this staggering in its mountain landscapes and so rich in wildlife could surely boast, but Patagonia quietly woos nature and animal lovers from afar.

U.S. NATIONAL PARKS

Nat Hab’s journey through Yellowstone is a trip for the true wanderer, embracing the spirit of remote nature travel. This adventure stands apart from the typical park tour, delving deep into Yellowstone’s wilds. Before your visit, here are some fascinating facts you may not have known about the wildlife, natural wonders and storied past of this beloved national park.
